Bonnie – Urgent!

Bonnie

Bonnie is an 11 year old gray with orange tabby/Siamese girl who is already spayed and front declawed. She is an affectionate purr baby and would make a great indoor companion. Bonnie’s time is running very short at the shelter. Please consider giving her a forever home.

Free Range Yoga is providing sponsorship for her. As soon as you adopt her, you would send your receipt from the shelter for the $22 adoption fee to HSMC, PO Box 7, Macomb, IL. We will then immediately send you a $22 check in return — thanks to Free Range Yoga support.

Precious Brew

BrewAdopted!!

Precious Brew is a sweet, spayed 2-year-old girl. Since she has been at the shelter has become a happy dog who loves attention and playing fetch. She will jump to catch a high ball in her mouth or run fast to chase it. She always brings the ball back and lays it at your feet, ready for another throw. Precious also enjoys walks on a leash and having her ears rubbed. She’s a mixed breed, on the smallish side (40 or so pounds), who would be a good companion. She came to the shelter with some flea allergy issues, but she is now healthy and her coat grown out and is nice and thick.

Precious Brew has been spayed so her adoption fee is only $25. She is also microchipped. See my video on YouTube!

Sweet Ellie!

Adopted!!!

Ellie very much enjoys living with her foster mom, but is still hoping to find the perfect forever home. She is a calm, happy, and healthy young adult retriever mix, who loves to go for walks, is house-trained, and appreciates her toys as well as a good snuggle. Ellie is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. She has a beautiful thick black coat, but does not seem to shed much at all. While Ellie wants to be the only canine in the family, she likes children and doesn’t mind sharing her home with the family cats. She has a sweet, loving temperament, and would really be a low maintenance dog — she just hopes for a routine walk time and positive interaction with her people. Ellie can occupy herself when left home alone, but is happy when her people arrive home and is ready for attention. If you are interested in meeting Ellie, or learning more about her, contact Pat Stewart, her foster mom, at 309-333-5819 or pmstewart42@msn.com.

Pet Food Pantry

The HSMC is seeking donations of dog and cat food and cat litter to stock the Pet Food Pantry we have established in conjunction with Loaves and Fishes. Food insecurity affects four-legged family members too, and people who are experiencing lean times should not have to relinquish any beloved family member to a shelter. Donations can be left in the entry lobby of City Hall. Monetary donations can be sent to HSMC, PO Box 7, Macomb, IL 61455. Please indicate for support of Pet Food Pantry.
