Pet Wash!

The Humane Society of McDonough County thanks all the volunteers who donated their time and energy in making the 28th annual Pet Wash a success. 151 dogs came through in 5 hours! Of which 108 received the full Pampered Pooch treatment!

There are three levels of Pet Wash to choose from:

$5 The Basic Bath: says it all. Well, our volunteers throw in a little massage too.

$10 The Clean & Clip: a bath and nails clipped.

$15 The Pampered Pooch: a bath, brushing, nails clipped and ears cleaned.

Our volunteer groomers have an arsenal of brushes at their disposal to best groom whatever coat crosses their path.

It was at a Pet Wash that I first learned that a curry comb is great on short coats.

These combs are great on all different coat lengths. The longer toothed combs work best on longer coated dogs.
